1. Purpose
This Shipping Policy outlines the terms, conditions, and procedures governing the dispatch, transportation, and delivery of products supplied by Encore Biomedicals to its customers, distributors, institutions, and partners
2. Scope
This policy applies to all shipments of:
• Diagnostic instruments and analyzers
• Reagents, consumables, calibrators, and controls
• Rapid test kits and accessories
• Spare parts and service-related materials
3. Shipping Coverage
Encore Biomedicals currently ships:
• Within India: All states and union territories
• International shipments: Subject to regulatory approvals, export documentation, and
mutual agreement with the customer
4. Mode of Shipment
Shipments are arranged through reputed logistics partners based on:
• Product type (ambient / temperature-sensitive)
• Destination
• Urgency
Modes include:
• Road transport
• Air cargo / courier
• Temperature-controlled logistics (where applicable)
The selection of courier or transporter shall be at the discretion of Encore Biomedicals unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Shipping Charges
• Shipping charges are extra, unless explicitly mentioned in the quotation, purchase order, or agreement.
• Charges may vary based on weight, volume, destination, insurance, and special handling requirements.
• Any additional costs such as octroi, local entry tax, customs duty, or statutory levies shall be borne by the customer.
6. Dispatch Timeline
• Standard dispatch timeline: 3–7 working days from receipt of confirmed purchase order and full/advance payment, as applicable.
• Customized or bulk orders may require additional lead time, which will be communicated separately.
• Delays due to force majeure events (natural calamities, strikes, regulatory delays, etc.) shall not be attributable to Encore Biomedicals.
7. Packaging Standards
Encore Biomedicals follows validated packaging practices to ensure product integrity:
• Secondary and tertiary protective packaging
• Temperature insulation for reagents where required
• Proper labeling as per regulatory and courier norms
Once dispatched, the risk of damage due to mishandling by the courier lies with the transporter.
8. Transfer of Risk & Title
• Ownership and risk of goods transfer to the buyer upon dispatch from Encore Biomedicals’ facility, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• Customers are advised to opt for transit insurance for high-value consignments.
9. Inspection & Delivery Acceptance
• Customers must inspect the shipment immediately upon receipt.
• Any visible damage, leakage, or package tampering must be:
◦ Noted on the delivery receipt
◦ Reported to Encore Biomedicals within 24 hours of delivery
Failure to report within this period will be treated as deemed acceptance of goods.
10. Damaged / Lost Shipments
• Encore Biomedicals will provide necessary dispatch and courier details to assist customers in claims.
• Replacement or credit, if any, shall be subject to:
◦ Courier investigation outcome
◦ Availability of stock
◦ Mutual agreement
11. Incorrect Address / Delivery Failure
• Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping details.
• Additional charges arising due to incorrect address, re-delivery, or return shipments shall be borne by the customer.
12. Cold Chain & Temperature-Sensitive Products
• Reagents requiring cold chain are shipped with validated packaging.
• Encore Biomedicals is not responsible for product degradation due to delays or improper storage after delivery.
13. Regulatory Compliance
All shipments comply with applicable:
• CDSCO / IVD regulations
• GST invoicing requirements
• Export-import regulations (where applicable)
Customers are responsible for local regulatory approvals at the destination.
14. Returns Related to Shipping
Please refer to the Return & Replacement Policy of Encore Biomedicals for conditions related to transit-related returns.
15. Policy Amendments
Encore Biomedicals reserves the right to amend this Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice. The latest version shall prevail.
