Collection: Allergy

Allergy is a condition in which the body’s immune system reacts abnormally to substances that are usually harmless, called allergens. Common allergens include dust, pollen, certain foods, animal dander, and some medications. When a person with an allergy is exposed to an allergen, the immune system produces antibodies and releases chemicals such as histamine, causing symptoms like sneezing, itching, skin rashes, watery eyes, swelling, or breathing difficulty. Allergies can affect different parts of the body, including the skin, respiratory system, and digestive system. In some cases, allergies may lead to conditions such as Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma. Diagnosis may involve blood tests, skin tests, or IgE testing, and treatment usually includes avoiding allergens and using medications to control symptoms.
