Collection: Cancer Marker

Cancer markers, also known as tumor markers, are substances produced by cancer cells or by the body in response to cancer. They are usually found in blood, urine, or tissues and help in the detection, monitoring, and management of cancer. Common cancer markers include PSA (prostate cancer), CA-125 (ovarian cancer), CEA (colorectal and other cancers), AFP (liver cancer), and CA 19-9 (pancreatic cancer). While cancer markers are not always specific for cancer, they are valuable for assessing treatment response, detecting recurrence, and supporting clinical diagnosis when used alongside other investigations.
